평화의 기도

주여, 저를 평화의 도구로
써 주소서

​

미움이 있는 곳에 사랑을

다툼이 있는 곳에 용서를

분열이 있는 곳에 일치를

의혹이 있는 곳에 믿음을

​

절망이 있는 곳에 희망을

슬픔이 있는 곳에 기쁨을

어둠이 있는 곳에 광명을

가져오게 하소서

​

오 거룩하신 주님,

위로받기보다는 위로하며

이해받기보다는 이해하며

사랑받기보다는 사랑하게 하소서

​

우리는 줌으로써 받고

용서함으로 용서받으며

자기를 버리고 죽음으로써

영생을 얻기 때문입니다

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.

​

Where there is hatred, let me sow love,

​

that I bring pardon; Where there is discord,

​

let me bring union, Where there is doubt,

​

Where there is despair, that I bring hope;

​

And where there is sadness, that I bring joy.

​

Where there is darkness, that I bring light;

​

O Divine Master,

grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,

​

to be understood as to understand,

​

to be loved, as to love.

​

For it is is giving that we receive,

​

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

​

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
